break!
whoohoo!! i’m so excited—christmas break tomorrow! i’m in such a good mood. this week has been really different…definitely has changed up my everyday in preparations to leave marist. it’s weird but exciting
So as this semester comes to an end, I enjoyed this class alot more than I thought I would. Although the projects took alot of time and effort (probably because it took me a while to be comfortable with the programs we were using), I really like the way they came out. I think my favorite ones were the We Feel Fine Topography and my final project. We had alot of freedom with these projects and I...
marist
I found these two pictures on Facebook: the top is Marist during the snow storm yesterday, the bottom is Marist during the summer. Obviously, there are alot of differences between the two, but I also noticed how the everyday on campus is different. During the snow storm, everyone was somewhat giddy, but when I was walking on campus, there was almost an eery silence. It was really strange. ...
Thinking about the everyday makes me think of the book The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. It takes place in the future, and there is no longer a United States government. It is difficult for women to become pregnant, so families have handmaids who have sex with the husbands to bear children. It’s really bizarre and quite a different outlook on the everyday.
finals week
it’s funny how during the last weeks of school, everyone starts to act a little differently. They no longer have “an everyday routine,” probably because they’re trying to cram so much in a short period of time.

Final Project
For my final project, I am going to create a life. Using a catolog, such as Delia’s or Fourtanoff’s, I want to use one of the models and develop their everyday life through the various pictures that are present. I think this would be most effective in Flash using the button feature. Each button would represent a room in the model’s house, school, job, etc. As the user scrolls...

Weather Map of Feelings
After collecting data, including news headlines, pictures from the top news stories, weather reports, MySpace/Facebook posting, Facebook statuses, and feelings, in Word documents in the morning and afternoon for two weeks, I combined this information into a Flash presentation. I found each piece of information provided insight into what was going on in the world and was very informative. I...
everyday life
Being in this class really does make me question what is going on around me. How is my everyday life different from my roommate’s everyday life? Why are we different?

midterm
So we’re half way through the semester..half done with classes. It’s crazy to think that this class is half over. After the projects we’ve completed this semester, I’m impressed with how everyone’s projects came out. We all had the same tools to use and we developed such different things. I think this is evidence that everyone’s everyday is different. When...
Flash
When we first started using flash, I was really confused and unsure about what I was doing. But now, I don’t find it as difficult. The project we did with the pictures and quotes was actually pretty interesting and not too hard to do.

Poughkeepsie
Monday, September 24 3:00 PM Delafield Street I am standing at the corner of Delafield Street and Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. It’s about 3 PM, and it’s sunny with some clouds. Behind me, I can hear the rush of cars as they speed down Route 9, and to my right, Cosimos, an Italian restaurant, radiates with the smell of delicious food. There are a few cars coming towards me: a black...
my interests...
1. Oakwood on the Sound, Wading River NY: My family has a summer here and it is definitely my favorite place in the world to be. I love being there and spend as much time as possible there. 2. Hanging out with my friends and family: I like being around people that I am close with and just relaxing and having fun. 3. The beach: I love being at the beach. I don’t think there is...
